As ever, we want this space to feel safe, and for people to be able to express themselves sexually without worrying what might happen.

Please get as creative and experimental as you can! We have no idea what’s going to happen, but if it works at all it’ll be thanks to everyone bringing the energy and taking the initiative! Make stuff happen. Contribute ideas. Get involved. Meet people.

Logistics

Cyber Punks is coming at you through four main routes: Discord, Jitsi, House Party, and Spotify.

Discord is the party hub. We’ve got a bunch of chats set up which will give you the party lowdown – you can find a general party intro and announcements about what’s happening here. Or you can just join a conversation thread and start chatting.

Jitsi is the video conferencing platform where we’re running all our events: workshops, performances, and inexplicable experiences. You’ll be able to hop onto it straight through Discord.

House Party is the place to mingle and meet people.

On Spotify you can find some especially curated playlists for every mood: hype and chill.

How to set up

1.     Get Discord

You can get it as an app, on your browser, or as a downloadable program here - I recommend using the app, so you can keep your laptop free for the video stuff.

Please use a clear profile pic and/or real name as username – this is going to be complex enough without trying to keep track of who everyone is. Bonus points if your profile pic is in costume.

Then join our server here and take a look around!

2.     Get House Party

It’s available as an app or a Chrome extension here. I recommend getting the Chrome extension so you can see people. Please use your real name.

Then add all your friends – especially the ones coming to this party.

3.     Get Your Costume On

You’d better look fabulous is all I’m saying.

4.     Get Spangled

If you were waiting for social license to get mashed by yourself in your bedroom, then you now officially have it.

5.     Get Some Tunes On

We’ve got a hype and chill playlist – whatever you’re in the mood for…

6.     Get Online

We’ll be ready and waiting at 8. No excuse to be fashionably late this time.

HoUSE PARTY

Don’t worry, this is the relatively straightforward bit. For anyone that’s not already involved, House Party basically lets you start video chats with any contact – and, handily, join an ongoing video chat that any of your friends are in! This is your place to mingle, say hi to friends, and meet new people. There’s also some inbuilt games of debatable enjoyment. If things take a particularly filthy or DMC turn, you have the option of locking your video chat so that people can’t jump in unexpectedly.
